There's many ways to define success. I define my success by helping others be successful though open source projects.

Computer Science is a vast and complicated topic, and one of the few where we can literally trace the history of though time using a source version control like git. We stand on the shoulders of giants and contribute what little we can back for the greater good and improvement of future generations and people (humans or otherwise!). As one of the biggest contributors to open source in the last few years of my life it's really helped me appreciate how much I learned from other people, and enabled me to craft and hone my skills to produce the best quality and results.
