GitHub Sponsors Profile
pbi-tools solves a long-standing problem in the Power BI development community. It provides tools to bring Power BI projects (PBIX files) under source control, thus enables professional development workflows and enhances governance, particularly in larger organizations.
Those features have long been missing in the toolset of many Power BI developers and organizations. pbi-tools, as it exists today, is the result of several years of tedious work by Mathias Thierbach, the inventor and main developer of the project. After working on the project privately at first, Mathias decided to make it a public open-source project at the end of 2021. He is passionately committed to taking the project further, with and for the community.
pbi-tools is available for free and with open source code (MIT License) here on GitHub. However, it is not free to make or maintain.
By sponsoring the project you can support those efforts directly. Sponsorship will help cover some of Mathias' costs (hosting, development equipment, travel) and will allow making more time and resources available.
