I'm Sharon Rosner, an independent software developer and consultant from France. My professional interests range from digital music typesetting to databases, logging, concurrency, and general digital plumbing. When not coding, I like to garden, build stuff, and listen to music.
I'm a veteran Ruby developer, with knowledge in C, C++, Go, Scheme, Lua and PHP. My biggest open-source contribution is most probably Sequel, the database toolkit for Ruby, of which I'm the original creator.
Currently I'm working mainly on a suite of Ruby open-source projects: Polyphony, enabling writing highly concurrent Ruby apps; Tipi, a modern web server for Ruby; and more. These projects have the potential to push the boundaries of what's possible to achieve using Ruby. My intention is to create a portfolio of first-rate gems under the Digital Fabric organisation.
Your contributions will allow me to contribute back to the Ruby community by continuing development of the Digital Fabric portfolio, providing integrations with other popular Ruby tools and frameworks, and improving documentation. If you're interested in my work and would like to contact me, you can write me at [email protected]. I occasionally publish articles on my personal website: noteflakes.com.
