GitHub Sponsors Profile
I'm KOW, I make apps and websites. I'm from Salt Lake City, Utah, USA.
I work on Camping, the Ruby micro framework, and plugins and expansions for Camping called Gear.
Camping is an old web framework, originally made by the unparalleled _why, it's now a community project. Camping is superb, succinct, and simple. My work is centered on improving and maintaining Camping's core, to make it the easiest to use, and the most robust ruby framework for making websites and APIs. My goal is to have the best documentation for an open source project in the world, translated into 3 languages.
Your sponsorship will go towards supporting this effort. Camping is the only open-source project I work on.
Camping Progress
Done:
[x] Rewrote Camping's reloader and launched version 3.1
[x] Finished Camping's new routing spec.
Currently:
[ ] Writing new Camping Gear, called Van, to add the Sequel gem to Camping, with Migrations.
[ ] Designing and developing a brand new website, and documentation for Camping.
[ ] Official docs and support for using SQLite in production on fly.io.
Soon:
Add Phlex support.
Add first class support and documentation for ExtraLite.
Add web socket support.
Other Amazing Folx making great stuff with Ruby
Camping is just like... glue, and it's great, but it depends on a lot of other fantastic folx working on their own projects collectively and with friends. Please consider sponsoring some of these fine folx. (not a complete list)
Joel Drapper, maker of Phlex.
Samuel Williams, made Async, Falcon, and more.
Sharon Rosner, makes ExtraLite and more.
Marco Roth, makes Stimulus and a host of other super important stuff.
Jared White, works on Bridgetown, which is fantastic.
Support Ruby
If ya'll want to support Ruby generally, which I highly recommend, then toss some coins to Ruby Central. Ruby Central provides critical support to Ruby's core infrastructure, and we all depend on RubyGems.org and Bundler every day.
