Hello! My name is Louis, though I usually go by desttinghim on the web. I started programming at a young age with Game Maker 7. This was just the first step on a long journey of learning.
Some of the projects I am working on or contributing to are:

Games for the WASM-4 fantasy console. Wired, a puzzle platformer with wire physics circuits
Tooling to work with WASM-4 including:

An LV2 plugin to assist in composing music for WASM-4
ZOW-4, a collection of useful Zig code for building WASM-4 games
WASM-4 itself

Low-level audio code for the Mach game engine
zig-ldtk, a zig library for loading data from the LDtk level editor

As you can see, I like to work with zig 🙂 While the Zig language is still unstable, I find the straightforward syntax, powerful build system, and minimal runtime make programming in Zig quite enjoyable.
A lot of my other repositories were learning experiences. I've worked with JavaScript, Haxe, Rust, and more over the years. Feel free to take a look at the code and copy it, I have released most of my code under a permissive license because I believe sharing knowledge makes the world a better place.
Game engine programming and game development are my passion. I've had a dream for a long time of developing a game by myself. Not because I don't want to work with other people, but because I want to have the knowledge and skill to work with every part of a game - the game systems, the visuals, and the audio. This is a very ambitious goal, but I am in this for the long run. I want to help other people do the same thing too.
