GitHub Sponsors Profile
Organizer of Humanitarian AI: Humanitarian AI is a hybrid open source initiative and meetup.com community with over 1000 members spread across local groups in Cambridge, San Francisco, New York City, London, Toronto and Zurich. The community organizes events giving students, AI developers and others opportunities to discuss artificial intelligence, machine learning and natural language processing applications with humanitarian actors and micro-size projects for members to volunteer on. These projects principally focus on developing algorithms and other backend utilities artificial intelligent applications need to plug into and use information streaming through humanitarian open data sharing frameworks like IATI to answer complex queries about humanitarian crises, needs, activities, transactions and results.
