Hi :) I'm developping open source audio plugins for generative music making and computer-assisted composition.
My main project currently is Arpligner, which is a new take on applying some rhythm to harmony, where both rhythmic and harmonic contents are fed as live MIDI data. I have strong interest for progressive rock/metal & jazz fusion, and I wanted a tool that would (1) enable to arpeggiate chords with complex rhythms and metric structures, (2) enable to record your arp/rhythmic patterns instead of inputting them in some rigid quaternary grid, and (3) be usable generally as a composition-assistant tool, or even improv tool.
Arpligner is quite usable already and available for free, but I greatly welcome support donations :). That could allow me to make more tutorials, improve user interface, robustness, various DAW integrations, or add features yet unheard of in an arp tool like MPE support (think "arpeggiation or rhythmic patterns that can contain per-note bends, etc")
