WP Bones is a lightweight framework offering tools and guidelines to simplify WordPress plugin development. It aims to enable writing plugins similar to Laravel Framework applications. Unfortunately, WordPress's architecture does not yet support the composer/vendor approach. As a result, some excellent features of the composer/vendor system cannot be implemented at this time.
For more information on coding restrictions, see the Before Submitting to the WordPress Repository section.
This framework aims to integrate both new and standard development tools in a WordPress environment. If you like Composer, npm, Laravel, and Gulp, this framework is for you.
❤️ I love Laravel
If you're familiar with the Laravel Framework, you'll also love the WP Bones Framework. I drew inspiration from Laravel when developing WP Bones. However, as you might expect, the WordPress environment doesn't support Composer as we would like. Therefore, you'll notice many similarities to Laravel, along with some key differences.
