GitHub Sponsors Profile
Hi!, I'm Brucey, the main developer of the open-source BlitzMax NG and creator of many open source BlitzMax modules, including the bah.mod repository, wxMax, a wxWidgets language binding, and an SDL replacement backend.
I've been developing BlitzMax modules since I became involved with BlitzMax not long after it first appeared on the Mac in 2004/2005, and since then, I've created a wide variety of cross-platform modules to help BlitzMax developers solve all kinds of problems.
BlitzMax NG was born out of the need to support the future of BlitzMax beyond the 32-bit desktop that it was originally designed for, and now supports 64-bit desktop targets, as well as ARM and mobile. It is mostly compatible with legacy BlitzMax, whilst adding some new features, such as new primitive types (UInt, ULong, Size_T), Interfaces, Enums, and a richer set of default modules.
The Github sponsorship model provides a way to support to continued open-source development of BlitzMax NG, all the modules, the BlitzMax website, hosting, and tooling.
