Hi! I'm Vuk, I'm finishing my studies in Physics, specializing in Astrophysics in the Complutense University in Madrid. I'm right now the Web Administrator of the Student Group of the Spanish Royal Physics Society (@EstudiantesRSEF). My aim is to bring back something useful to my institution while being a student, so I gladly offer any volunteering science-related talks to kids and adults, an enriching experience I have enjoyed in several public schools.
I'm also member of the Free Software Foundation and a GNU/Linux enthusiast. Being aware of my use of proprietary software, I use it to understand why free and open software tend to prevail or fail in certain areas. This gives me an insight of how we can build a better internet society without constraining user rights. For that precise reason, I am committed to learn, code and submit in order to help any FOSS project in Github.
My main hobbies tend to oscillate between my 20 year Spanish Classical Guitar training, coding, beta-testing code of any kind of open-sourced software and, most importantly, stargazing.
I speak English, Spanish and Serbian fluently, while learning German and constructed languages such as Esperanto and Sindarin in my spare time. I'm an animal rights advocate while trying to find ways to give back to humanity everything I can to make our planet a better place to live for future generations.
