Hi! I'm vertexclique (Theo Mahmut Bulut)! That icosahedron on internets!
What are you working on?
I am working on:

In-memory database systems
Transaction processing
Stream processing
Distributed systems
Data processing
Machine Learning

Academically, my work is towards:

Hardware/Software architecture reverse engineering
Embedded system concurrency optimizations

If you are using:

Rust Compiler
Apache Arrow (Apache's in-memory layout for columnar data)
Apache Parquet (Apache's on-disk format for columnar data)
Nuclei (Proactive IO & Runtime system)
Lever (Transactional System and Data Grids toolkit)
Bastion (Highly-available Distributed Fault-tolerant Runtime)
Artillery (Cluster Management & Distributed Data Library)
Kaos (Chaotic Testing Harness)
Cuneiform (Cache & In-Memory optimizations for Rust)
Orkhon (ML Inference Framework and Server Runtime)
smbclient-sys (Rust SAMBA library)
and plenty other projects. That means you are using my code.

I have other experience on:

Packet Processing Systems
Exploits
Real time financial systems (Satellite comm)
Search Engines
Data pipelines

My free time goes into OSS projects, baking cutting edge research into code and working on the projects that are useful, and have high quality for the people. My projects vary from Rust, Erlang, Scala, Haskell, Java, C, Cxx, Python, and more.
I am working on Rust since 2012, and working on the compiler with intermittent intervals. Also, I have created plenty of OSS in various languages.
I am in the OSS community for years, working on big projects like Mozilla's Gaia, Radiant, Lightbend's Akka, Haskell's swarm intelligence libraries, and plenty of other projects that I don't remember right now.
What will my sponsorship help?
Well, plenty of things. In order here is the list:

First, it will motivate me to continue my OSS work.
All testbed money comes from you. If you help me, software is going to be hardened.
All domain and hosting related stuff for the OSS projects.
Infrastructure for concurrency and distributed environment testing (like EC2 instances or clusters)
Meeting with my team of friends whom we develop the projects mentioned above together. (and more is on the way with your help!)
Mentoring people who are into Rust and low-level development. I want to/need to buy what they need when they are experimenting.
Bunch of embedded hardware
Software licenses and service subscriptions
My guitar and bass strings can change
One bag of coffee

What will you work on in the future?
There are ongoing projects that I am(and also we are as team) working on. I will continue maintaining the projects that I've successfully established. Also will be sharing my knowledge with you about these topics.
