Main reason for adding a sponsorship option is trying to move the OWASP Defect Dojo project forward.
I really like spending time there, but doing all this in only free time is not sustainable.
Living in The Netherlands, so expect direct communication and customer driver goal oriented work ;-)
The first goal I would like to achieve is to make it easier for new contributers to start contributing, while at the same time making it easier for us admins/moderators to review and approve new PRs:

Better test coverage
Better documentation

Another desire is to add some more enterprisy features:

Improve / simplify integration with issue trackers (JIRA, Github, ...)
Improve roles / permissions

What I would like to do is have specific features as goals, so people can sponsor specific features / requests. Currently Gihub Sponsors doesn't support this, but only month subscriptions. I have setup a couple of them so you can choose the amount you want to donate.
