PDFsam Basic (formerly only PDFsam) is short for PDF Split And Merge and ihas been around for 13 years and yes, I've been working on it for 14 years. It was a side project at first, a safe haven where I could write code without having to deal with project managers or schedules, it's now my full-time job. Ok, not just the PDFsam Basic, we also have some closed source tool we sell but PDFsam is where it all started and it's still very exciting to keep taking good care of it.
