I'm an independent software developer from Germany. I do open-source in my spare time with a focus on ClojureScript tooling. I absolutely love Clojure(Script) and want to make it accessible to as many people as possible. I'm trying to build tools that "just work" and let the developers do their real work instead of wasting their time with tooling setup.
Funding allows me to spend more time on working on the actual code and documentation without having to compromise with "work". Your support is greatly appreciated and might potentially enable me to do this full time without having to prioritize other paid work.
shadow-cljs
shadow-cljs is the big project I'm focusing on. It is a fully featured ClojureScript build tool with support for building even the most complex projects and supports several build targets (eg. Browser, node, react-native, ...). It also provides seemless access to the npm ecosystem. It is very stable and used by a steadily growing number of CLJS developers.
I have submitted several smaller patches to the main ClojureScript project in the past and I would like to spend more time on the official compiler as well. This takes a lot more time/effort than working on shadow-cljs but there are certain areas in the CLJS compiler that could use some improvements that I can't directly do in shadow-cljs.
I'll try to help anyone running into issues with shadow-cljs or ClojureScript in general and do so frequently on the various online platforms out there. I'll try to help regardless of funding status when time allows.
