Hi, I'm Kris. My goal is to remove a lot of the redundancy from web development. To do that, I've got a couple tricks up my sleeve 🙃
I'm the sole developer of Linql, which is a next generation, language native graphing language. In order to make it 100% production ready, I could really use your help.
After Linql is more developed, I plan to build an Entity Component System for the web, which will allow developers to write really fast, really clean microservices with ease.
Combined with Linql, these two strategies can make web development fun again!
I know this to be the case, because a former employer of mine allowed me to architect and implement the above system, and the many engineers who saw and worked within the frameworks and library thought it was black magic and life changing.
Unfortunately, they laid us all off, and that code now sits in a dark corner that will never be seen again...unless, of course, you help me bring it back to light!
In my free time, which I don't have a lot of, I've been consuming my time with creating a better, open source version of these visions. Please consider coming along, or helping me with the ride.
How will I use the funds?
I could use a new development machine. As I said, we were laid off, so money isn't flowing like it used to.
Flesh out the other languages of Linql. C# and Typescript support are almost production ready, but I'd love to bring the ideas to both Java and Python Client and Servers.
Flesh out the other languages of the Linql Model Generator, which auto generates more advanced models than NSwag or other tools of the like.
Build out the UI library which will hook directly into Linql/Model Generator so that I can provide some pretty crazy features.
Build out Fluid - the C# Entity Component System - that will allow a market place of plugins and functionalities to be added to your microservices with ease.
I'd appreciate any help you can provide!
