I'm an Oakland-based digital experience strategist who works mainly with nonprofits and community-based groups. I believe in alternative economies, subverting the status quo, and generally asking a lot of questions.
I also spend a large chunk of my time facilitating multiple communities geared toward helping people do better, more intentional work. For the past four years, I've hosted Content + UX, a professional support group of 12,000+ content professionals and the UXers who love them. I also lead multiple projects through OpenOakland, an all-volunteer collective that bridges community and technology for a thriving and equitable Oakland. I just spent a year+ as brigade co-lead, building out infrastructure and working to bring a more intentional lens of accountability and inclusion to the group's work.
