My name is Gennadii Potapov. Originally I'm from Russia, but for the past 10 years living in Singapore. I'm co-founder and CEO of a game development studio General Arcade . In my free time, I work on Flycut.
In 2011, even before General Arcade , I forked Jumpcut and started the development of Flycut. Flycut is a clipboard manager for macOS. It's very simple — it works only with text snippets, which makes it perfect for programmers. To my surprise, the app became very popular since its first release in Mac App Store. It's a top download app in the Dev Tools section of Mac App Store. Later few people joined and made significant contributions to this project as well.
The main struggle of Flycut development is supporting older versions of MacOS. Apple doesn't make it easy: apart from constant API changes, additional security, and sandbox restrictions, there is no simple way to have multiple OS installed on one machine. That's why I need additional hardware, and that's what funds would be used for. The plan is to buy one or two older used MacBooks.
