I’ve been passionate about open source since 2007, a journey that started in my hometown, where technology access was limited and internet availability was rare. Every day after school, I would head to the public library—a place I never missed visiting. That library became my gateway to the world, and most excitingly, it had a computer with internet access. 🖥️
It was in that library that I made my first open-source contribution: a simple, user-friendly library management software to help the librarians organize their resources. Seeing their smiles and knowing that my software eased their workload gave me a deep sense of fulfillment. I realized that if I could make a difference in one community, I could expand my impact globally. 🌏
Since then, I’ve been involved in numerous open-source projects, contributing my skills to build tools, share knowledge, and improve resources for communities worldwide. Currently, however, my time for open-source contributions is limited by my work as a Data Scientist and my commitments to authoring books and courses.
