I live in Stjørdal just outside Trondheim, Norway with my wife and my three daughters. Besides spending time with my family I try to make the best of my spare time. That involves a lot of coding 😃, but I also have a thing for running and brewing beer 😀
As many others here on Github, I have a full time day job as a professional developer. Many of my open source projects has started because I noticed something in my day-to-day work that I though that others might find useful.
Open source has always been the playground I've needed to stay relatively sane in a job as a developer. Trying out new ideas, getting feedback from the community and being able to work with other developers around the world is something that I really appreciate.
My work has always been non-profit. I don't really belive in doing it for the money. The motivation behind an open source project should be pure passion and love of the trade.
Open source is built with ❤️, commercial software is bult with 💰. 😃
Besides the hours I put into my projects I don't have a lot of expenses related to it. I use open source tools for 90% of my work and JetBrains provides me with open source licenses for all their products
Bottom line is that I am not pleading for money here, but If you or your company like and/or use my software, this is the opportunity to buy me the next beer 😃🍺
