I form part of the Core team on the JSON Schema specification. Since the release of draft 2019-09, I have the dubious honour of being the overall project lead. I also work on various, related tools and utilities that make learning and using JSON Schema better.
JSON Schema is a vocabulary that allows you to annotate and validate JSON documents.
Despite the still being at draft stage, JSON Schema is widely used across the industry. Notable adopters include: Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Mozilla, the UK Government, and many more. JSON Schema forms part of the OpenAPI Specification. Visual Studio Code uses JSON Schema internally, as do Webpack and ESLint. The most commonly used JavaScript implementation, ajv, sees upwards of 22 million downloads a week.
In addition to my work on the core specification, I'm creating a suite of tooling for JSON Schema at https://jsonschema.dev. And I maintain the official JSON Schema Slack community.
