I studied at the University of Ghent, Belgium, and worked there for many years as a researcher. I started using Dart almost 10 years ago for some small projects at the University. Later, I founded an electric car sharing cooperative in Ghent (www.partago.be) together with some fellow enthousiasts. For this project, we have built all the necessary software to share electric cars, i.e. a mobile app to make reservations and open the doors etc, an administration tool to do all the necessary management and a backend to support everything. From the start, we have chosen to use dart for the backend. As Flutter didn't exist yet at the time, we used other technologies for the mobile app. In the mean time, the software has moved to a new (cooperative) company, The Mobility Factory, one of the first platform cooperatives in the world. This company is now serving the software to many local car sharing cooperatives in Europe. Recently, we also migrated our mobile app to Flutter.
During the past years that I worked with Dart and Flutter, I've created several open source dart packages, amongst which the more popular ones are

firebase_dart, firebase_dart_flutter and firebase_admin: firebase clients written entirely in dart
openid_client: a client for openid authentication
jose: a library for Javascript Object Signing and Encryption (JWT, JWS, JWE, JWK)
expressions: a library for parsing and evaluating expressions
snapshot: a library for data classes

Maintaining these projects takes a lot of time and getting some sponsorship would help to be able to dedicate more time to it so that I can better support the community.
