We believe that Postgres is an awesome database system, and working with it shouldn't be "black magic". The core tool we're building is Database Lab Engine (DLE) helps achieve this goal.
DLE enables Database Branching for any Postgres database, via thin cloning (based on CoW). With it, you can have thousands of branches and dozens or hundreds of active independent full-size PostgreSQL clones running on a single machine.
Branching is instant and doesn't cost anything at all. Clone provisioning is brazing fast (seconds), and costs no extra money as well. With this approach, developers can isolate their work – manual or automated in CI/CD pipelines – to have 100% test coverage for database-related things (including query performance!), to increase productivity and quality.
DLE itself is fully open-source, it is equipped with API, CLI, and UI. It is used by developers worldwide. Some of the companies using DLE: GitLab, BMW, Allianz, Burger King, Mercury.com.
