Hi and welcome to the wonderful world of Polylith!
My name is Joakim Tengstrand and I have the pleasure of being the main contributor to the poly tool, that aims to give you the best possible user experience when working with Polylith architectures in Clojure. I also maintain its high-level documentation.
I've been programming for 40 years and during the last ten years I've spent a lot of time trying to understand where complexity comes from and how to write software that is easy to understand and change. All that work resulted in this blog post and I suddenly found that I could look at problems more clearly and solve things that I wasn't able to solve before.
Polylith was born in the wake of this work.
Here is a short history of Polylith:

In 2016 a primitive version based on symbolic links called The Micro Monolith was born and successfully used in production but without tooling support.
In 2018 I created the first Leiningen based Polylith tool.
In June 2019, Furkan Bayraktar created a basic version of the tool, containing 500 lines of Clojure code, to support the bare minimum of a tools.deps-based version of a Polylith tool.
In September 2019, I took three months off work to build a fully working poly tool which has been improved continuously since then.

Me and the rest of the Polylith team also do our best to support the Clojure community in Slack and other places.
By supporting the development of the poly tool, you would not only make me happy and grateful, but you would also help me to cover some of the costs that I have and allow me to spend even more time on this project!
