I'm Pierre Grimaud, born and raised in Paris, France. So I'm French 🥖, but I hate cheese and red wine.
I'm working as Technical Manager at Big Youth, a digital agency in Paris.
I'm also an IT teacher at Institut de l'Internet et du Multimédia for Symfony, DevOps, Cybersecurity, Shopify and e-commerce courses.
When I was a student, I created a middleware to expose RATP (state-owned public transport operator of Paris) realtime data as JSON format for a school project. I published it on GitHub to show source code to my teacher and installed it on my personal website as API RATP.
What happened next was awesome, some people started to use it to created various software or IoT devices. I realised the power of open source and the place of GitHub into developers world.
Today, my public API is used more than 1.2 billion times per year.
I also created lot of apps for LaMetric, an IoT smart clock device (e.g. Is it weekend yet? or Cryptocurrencies).
And various PHP library (e.g. Instagram User Feed ) or GitHub actions (e.g. Action for Shopify).
