Java Full Stack Developer
I have been working with Java since its early versions (1.x) and have gained extensive experience over the decades through various web projects utilizing prominent frameworks such as JPA, Hibernate, Spring, and OrmLite, alongside databases like MySQL (MariaDB) and PostgreSQL. Over time, I’ve become increasingly critical of large frameworks, particularly regarding their simplicity, ease of use, and ability to address intricate problems.
In recent years, I spearheaded the development of a management interface for OCPP-compliant electric vehicle charging stations. This project was initiated from the ground up, where I designed and implemented the server infrastructure with a “small is beautiful” philosophy. The objective was to ensure the software could run efficiently even on ARM industrial computers with as little as 1GB of memory.
The project utilized a lightweight technology stack, combining OrmLite (a lightweight ORM Java package) and Vaadin for the frontend. The result was a sophisticated user interface supported by a server infrastructure running on Proxmox.
Mobile App Development
About four years ago, I briefly worked as an Android developer. This experience taught me about the significant effort required for parallel app development on both Android and iOS platforms. Working as part of a multi-member team, I gained a deep understanding of the complexities of maintaining separate codebases for each platform.
Since then, I have focused on Flutter, Google’s cross-platform development environment, which I have been exploring for the past five years. Flutter enables the creation of apps for Android, iOS, Web, and desktop (Windows/Linux/Mac) using a single codebase.
