Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) initiatives help to rethink food production and deployment within local communities in a sustainable way. There is more and more projects allover Europe.
OpenOlitor responses to the need of CSA initiatives to be able to administrate multiple tasks and workflows in a efficient way.
The project is setup to support CSA's on a long term basis. Setting up a tool like OpenOlitor and adapting to it binds resources from the active members of the using initiatives. They can not re-adapt to yet another piece of software every two years.
Thus the activities within the OpenOlitor association consist of the following:

Support CSA initiatives in case of problems or if bugs occur
Plan enhancements and additions to the software together with the user community
Develop and test the mentioned extensions carefully in order to maintain a high quality of the software
Adapt and update the technical platform in order to maintain the software easy to run and secure on a long term basis.
