Why OpenFaaS?
OpenFaaS was created by Alex Ellis in 2016 as an open-source project with three core values: to be developer-friendly, easy to operate and centered around community.
Today, teams both small and large run OpenFaaS in production because it’s cloud agnostic, meaning you can run your code on multiple clouds without having to re-write. Others turn to OpenFaaS because it can offer things that cloud functions cannot like: long timeouts, extensive language support, tight integration with Kubernetes and a superior developer experience.
Did you know that the project has no external funding sources? Most all end-user companies rely on our goodwill alone to keep them up and running in production.
When you become a sponsor on GitHub:

You contribute to the project's success and longevity
You show that you value the time, skills and expertise required to keep your software in production
You build goodwill as you show up as a Sponsor on Issues and Pull Requests

You can pick a tier that represents the value you get from our past, present and future innovation, or enter a custom amount.
How else can you support OpenFaaS?
Alex founded OpenFaaS Ltd to offer commercial support and a production-ready distribution of the project called OpenFaaS Pro.
