👋 Hi, I'm Omer!
I'm a full-stack web developer with a strong belief in the power of single-language efficiency. This belief drove me to move from Ruby on Rails to Node.js in my recent projects. However, as many of you know, JavaScript on the backend can still be a bit chaotic. During a project where I used NestJS with OpenAPI, I fell in love with OpenAPI. Yet, the complexity of NestJS often left me searching for alternatives.
This led me to wonder: could I create a REST framework using my favorite front-end framework, Next.js? Driven by this question, I developed next-openapi-route-handler. This tool provides a simple helper function to generate self-documented REST APIs with the OpenAPI Specification. I've been using it in my projects and am thrilled with the results, so I decided to open-source it, hoping it could benefit the JavaScript community.
I'm committed to continuing the development of this project and creating other tools to improve backend service development.
