Hello!
My name is James Mackay and I'm from england UK. I'm probably most known for making my application stack OctoFarm. I am a pretty down to earth guy and enjoy developing on the side.
What is OctoFarm?
OctoFarm is the companion application to the wonderful OctoPrint. It allows you to control/Manage multiple OctoPrint enabled printers in a single browser based interface. It's open source and can be installed locally on your personal pc or preferrably an always on server system. It will run pretty much every platform and is completely Free.
Why Github Sponsors?
Well as most here will know developing anything at this scale takes a lot of time and effort to put in and I am currently working around a full time job. I have a patreon currently and it's wonderful to see the support I'm getting from there to keep up with the work of developing this application. Github sponsor is just another avenue I'm enabling for people to give support.
Everything you send through this donation channel is pushed straight back into OctoFarms development, or the next application stack I take on for a challenge.
I guess the dream is one day to have this funding channels replace my existing job, or find a sponsor for me to take up OctoFarm full time!
