I am Chau Tran. Originally, I am from Vietnam and I immigrated (with my family) to the US 10 years ago 🚀. After years of hardship of overcoming language barrier and culture/finance difficulty in the US, I finally got my Bachelor's in Information System in 2017. I have been working as a Development Engineer ever since.
I am the author of @automapper which is an AutoMapper for TypeScript. I have written a couple of blog posts about @automapper on what/why/how on my old personal blog and personal blog. On the other hand, I also contribute (try to when I can) to some other open source projects like @nestjs/swagger. Currently, I (along with some friends) am working on a 100 days of Code series with the topic being Angular. Although with the time constraint, we only produce the series in Vietnamese as of the moment (written articles and YouTube videos).
Sponsorship isn't important. It is weird for me to be saying this in my Github Sponsors introduction and I also DO NOT disrespect the value of sponsorship. In fact, I would love to have sponsorship, that's why I am applying for this program. However, what I meant is not obtaining any Sponsorship does not stop me from doing what I am doing. I am still working on my library, still contributing to the community, and still sharing my knowledge to the best of my ability whenever I can 💪. But, Sponsorship would allow me to have more time doing so 😊. My dream would be to organize an Angular Conference in Vietnam so the fund would definitely be saved towards that goal of mine.
