Hi! đź‘‹
I am a software engineer living in the American Midwest. I currently make kitchen appliances for the Subzero Group. I also write Rust libraries, most notably the bitvec library, for public use.
My work on the @ferrilab projects has stalled as I've had to focus on my career, family, and owning a home. I am working on resuming my public work, but it's had to stay low on the priority list while it's a hobby project. With your help, I can both afford, and will feel even more obligated, to keep advancing it.
Your sponsorship will help me recover financial security and be able to access better medical care for my fiancée. I've held off on asking for support for Ferrilab for the first five years I've been working on it, but with the 2022-3 market contraction, I have to admit that I'm not able to work for free anymore. I hope to turn this off and return to gratis public work as soon as I'm able, but for now, I need your help.
Ferrilab isn't my full-time job and I don't need to make a full-time salary here. I just need to regain my footing.
Thank you.
