GitHub Sponsors Profile
I run mirror.mwt.me, a distribution service for under-served open source projects. The network currently serves between 500 GB and 2 TB of traffic per day.
The edge network is donated by Fastly. Each edge node connects to the closest of three distributed origins. There is one origin in Europe and two origins in the US, one on the East coast (near NYC) and another on the West coast. This ensures quick delivery of all files globally and extremely low latency for the most popular files in each region. There is also a fourth node which serves as a failover in the event that one of the main three origins goes down.
All sponsorship money will go towards the cost of the four origin nodes. If I manage to collect more than the cost of the current nodes, I will expand capacity to provide services to more projects.
