I started writing software when I was a teenager, when a computer game I was playing (written in GW-BASIC) crashed, and opened up in a debugging environment with full source code 🎉. Fast forward many (many!) years, now I'm a professional developer by-trade.
More recently, I had need of a GPGPU solution, which led me to the ILGPU project. First, for selfish reasons, I contributed a minor patch to fix my own problems. Then, because I found the library so useful, and to show my appreciation, I decided to contribute back by adding a patch to fix someone else's problem. One patch, then another, and another, and here I am - a regular contributor to the project 😄
