I’ve been a contributor to the Node.js project and community since the first week it was released. I created request, NodeConf, PouchDB, and I wrote the original npm package registry. I also helped lead io.js (fork of Node.js) and worked to put its governance model in place at the Node.js Foundation and then lead that foundation (now the OpenJS Foundation) for the first few years.
My work today is primarily focused on “Next Generation Universal JavaScript,” content addressed data structures (IPLD), and analyzing open source using all the great open data we have on the open source ecosystem.
In the past I’ve organized a dozen conferences of various sizes, built and lead Developer Relations teams at Yammer and Digital Ocean, and I’ve held various positions at the Linux Foundation, Mozilla, and Samsung NEXT. I currently work at Protocol Labs leading the IPLD project.
