I started out my programming career with the classic Mac OS (THINK C on a PowerBook 165c running System 7.1), and still have a soft spot for that time. While there are many options for emulating systems of that era, they are all in various stages of abandonment (forks of forks) and are rather fiddly.
With the web becoming a more powerful platform, it is now a feasible target for emulators, thus I've embarked on the Infinite Mac project. The goal is one click access to any pre-2001 version of Mac OS, with no installation, minimal load times, access to large software libraries, and integration with the rest of the platform.
The project is open source, and is accessible to all at infinitemac.org.
While working on the project is its own reward (and I have a full-time job), there are hosting costs associated with the infrastructure that it needs (mostly domain name registrations and web hosting). I'm hoping that sponsorship can cover them. Thanks!
