GitHub Sponsors Profile
My name is Frank Afriat, living in Israel, coming from France.
I am the founder of Microlam.io micro-framework and main contributor.
Microlam.io is a Java micro-framework dedicated to AWS Serverless
targeting simplicity, hackability and efficiency.
The Problem
Currently Java is a language of choice for backend development & Serverless is the preferred way to begin develop for the Cloud. Unfortunately, AWS, the leader in the cloud, is providing support only for Java 11 and AWS Lambda written in Java suffers from the cold-start problem, making its usage difficult when facing users.
The Solution
Microlam.io is providing an easy solution for compiling or cross-compiling your Java code for AWS Lambda using GraalVM native image and docker. Then, you are free to use Java 17 (latest LTS version) and to compile to the arm architecture to reduce your cloud bill.
I created this project because existing solution (Quarkus, Micronaut) was not satifactory.
