Hello everyone 👋🏻
My name is Melvin - a self-taught programmer who has a keen interest in learning new languages, frameworks, and technologies! I have done several coding projects to gain real-world experience in software development.
As an avid learner, I'm constantly upgrading my coding skills through books, articles, YouTube videos, and Massive Open Online Courses. I'm also an avid fan of hackathons & have participated in 5 of them. My journey at Singapore Polytechnic from Apr 2021 to Nov 2023 (~2.5 years) equipped me with the skills and confidence to pursue my passion for software development.
Coming from a non-CS background, my goal is to (hopefully) work in big tech companies either locally or overseas one day as a software engineer! I still have a VERY LONG way to go from here, but I am willing to put in the effort to hone my programming & computational thinking skills, to achieve this lofty ambition of mine 👨‍💻!
