I am the lead project manager for Promcteam. We create several Java Minecraft Plugins for Bukkit/Spigot server platform. Some of our most popular plugins that we develop are Proskillapi and Prorpgitems.
I started working on my Minecraft RPG style projects around 2015. Most of our plugins have gone through several iterations since they were first created.
When I found out that QuantumRPG was going to abandon his project I asked him if I could take it over and he agreed. After taking it over I realized that I should put together a team and make a real community out of our projects. Travja had been developing my personal projects for almost 2 years, so I talked it over with him to see what he would think about having our plugins available for every to download. Fortunately he thought it was a great idea and from that Promcteam was born.
Soon after we started Promcteam we decided to take on the old SkillAPI plugin as well. Another developer, Sentropic had started working on SkillAPI and did a lot of the necessary coding to get it updated to the current version of Minecraft. After word got around Sentropic asked if he could join our team and of course we agreed.
We've also picked up another developer just recently that has also been contributing. What most of you don't know is that I fund all of our developers at $15/hour to work on our projects. This investment comes out of my own pocket. A few of our awesome members suggested that I should make it easier for anyone to help contribute towards paying our developers. After a little research I found the sponsorship program with Github and thought it would be a great and easy way for anyone to help contribute starting at as little as $10 month.
Every penny that I get from Github sponsorships will go to the development costs of paying our developers. Right now our devs work between 4-10 hours per week, but I'd like to be able to offer them more time to work.
Your contribution will benefit the entire community and any amount you pledge will get you permanent access to our Champion role.
