I make typefaces and tools to make typefaces. It is a small industry, so it is necessary to work on our own tools, formats and infrastructure. This account is for my own projects such as MutatorMath - an implementation of multidimensional interpolation for type, similar to, but independent of the algorithms used for variable fonts, generating UFOs with MutatorMath or VarLib with UFOOperator, a formal description and detector of problems with designspacesDesignspaceProblems, a toy to get started with sketching and drawing: TypeCooker.
This is a useful project together with Frederik Berlaen: GlyphNameFormatter: a thing that generates glyph names for Unicode characters.
