I'm currently working on a personal programing runtime called VRS - an opinionated take on an "endgame" software platform. It draws inspiration from my favorite software systems, like Emacs, Erlang, Plan 9, and Hypermedia, to enable software creation at the speed of thought.
I believe that building the best personal software involves building your own "software engine", in the same way the old-school game devs hand-crafted bespoke game engines. VRS is an attempt at building one for my daily personal computing - a "reinventing the wheel" research to find better wheels then what we have today.
