About me
Born in Gdańsk, Poland, but raised in the United Arab Emirates, I started my career in Singapore before settling down (for now) in London, UK. 🌎
My passion lies in raising awareness of what an awesome career Tech can be for ANYONE!
Why is it important?
At the moment female developers, and especially female BAME are extremely outnumbered. As it stands in the real world, only 19% of the tech workforce are women. This is an incredibly low number by any standards and begs the question to be asked - are women put off by the sector?
According to a survey done by Women in Technology Survey in 2019 , the main response as to why this might be the case, was that women thought there to be less opportunities for senior roles and promotions, closely followed by male domination in the industry at present and inherent perceptions of the industry.
Thankfully this is slowly changing, but we are still not there!
How I am trying to change this, one step at a time
I started to grow my YouTube Channel in March 2020 and in the space of 9 months have managed to get over 35K+ followers and counting. I am actively working with many #womenInTech groups to produce content that has a female lead that many girls/women, in the hopes of inspiring them as a role model to join the Tech Community.
This includes:

Being co-organiser of GeekGirl Meetup UK
Brand Ambassador for GirlCode

By monitoring my Channel Stats I can slowly see the percentage rate of women viewing my videos already start skewing which is a great personal success for myself.
My Content/What I am working on
On my channel I have a variety of videos that teach anything from JavaScript, React and React-native, to GitHub actions, Netlify functions and how to make your own API. I have posted some examples to see how each of my projects varies:
I build Doodle Jump in JavaScript.
In this project I use plain old vanilla JavaScript to build Doodle Jump. I think this video was popular as i did not use Canvas. it was more of an exercise to practise using JavaScript for WebDev, rather than gameDev.

Add to my Burger API - open source project
This is an ongoing project I am currently working on. My aim is to build out a full-on burger API with burgers from all over the world, creating one of the largest open-source projects to date! I'm really proud of how it is going so far (even thought its the least technically challenging).

I build a Tik Tok App in React (with REAL database)
This project was great as I showed the viewer how to build a serverless app by using DataStax new SDK and Netlify functions.

Why is the Sponsorship Important to me?
As a content creator, a lot of my work is produced for free in my own time, I do not charge the viewer for it. To keep creating content of a high standard and market it in the correct way is very time consuming. I am hoping to carry this on but would need some help! After all there is only one of me, so some support from you would be incredibly nice.
