I am a data scientist in agricultural research (statistics, bioinformatics, and machine learning). Still, I have used my free time since 2006 to work on my Ar-PHP side project, an open-source library serving developers working on small-medium web applications to deliver professional processing of the Arabic language.
It was a hobby and a deep feeling of need to pay back to my community. But recently, there has been a booming in the NLP domain and its applications. Therefore, to catch up, I started using my job experience to develop and apply a unique modeling technique for the Arabic language, with promising results in sentiment analysis.
Now, having dedicated time for this project is my limitation! This is the reason why I am applying for this sponsorship opportunity, and I hope to secure enough funds to free one day a week to work on developing this open-source project.
