Part of the @neos community, clean code enthusiast, climber, father of three, husband of one. Trying to be a nice guy.

I have been using open-source software since 1999, when I started to participate in a small project that was based on Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP. Going from there I used many other tools over the years and in fact my entire computing infrastructure is mostly based on OSS (like for most other people, even though they might not know it.) So I have been contributing back to the open-source community with code, documentation and in other ways since 2000 already, with TYPO3 being the first project I substantially contributed to in the early 2000s.
By now I co-own a company (called Flownative and of course also @flownative) that works mostly with and on open-source software (the @neos project being the primary target, a project on which I was one of the first developers). And while that allows to contribute back in quite some ways, we still need to earn money and it's somewhat forced to focus on working on what our clients can use in some way or the other.
Your direct sponsorhsip would raise motivation to contribute other things, to other projects even, that are not coming out of my paid work in some way. That could be issue triage or PR reviews, helping out with some completely "unrelated" project that I might have a personal interest in, report bugs in software I use, help other users through issue comments, …
