Josh Tynjala is a member of the OpenFL leadership team, and he created Feathers UI. OpenFL provides an implementation of the APIs from Flash Player, built with the Haxe programming language. It offers modern developers a peek into one of the most exciting eras of creative expression on the web — one filled with sparks of fun, experimentation, and collaboration. Projects built with OpenFL and Haxe can run as native mobile and desktop apps (compiled down to native C or C++ and running on the GPU), and they may be deployed to the web (using JavaScript and WebGL).

Feathers UI is a cross-platform library of graphical user interface (GUI) components for creative frontend projects. Feathers UI offers a flexibility of styling and customization that is especially well-suited for rich, immersive experiences, such interactive data visualizations and multimedia.

Additionally, Josh has been working to preserve Adobe’s official Flash, ActionScript, AIR, and Flex documentation in Markdown format. Adobe generously released their help content with a Creative Commons license, meaning that it can be safely saved, updated, and remixed by the community — long after they decide to remove it from their website. The process is currently semi-automated, but after converting from HTML to Markdown, some extra cleanup is required, such as fixing formatting quirks and broken external links with Internet Archive Wayback Machine alternatives.
