I write scientific software for Emacs and Python. In Emacs I work on two efforts primarily:
Scimax - an Emacs starterkit for scientists and engineers including ipython integration with org-mode and scientific publishing tools.
org-ref - a citation/bibliography management tool for org-mode.
In Python, I develop pycse (python computation for science and engineering) which is a Python library and an open-source book on how to use Python for scientific problem solving.
