Hi there, I'm Camilo 👋
I have performed research and development activities related to signal processing and machine learning for health-care and biometric applications since five years now, both in academic and industrial partners.
My expertise spans machine learning, deep learning, and analysis of bio-signals to model and monitor the state of patients affected with different diseases.
I usually contribute and develop open source projects related to speech and natural language processing for health-care applications. I am the main contributor of Disvoice, a Python library to extract features from speech signals, used mainly for medical applications, and Apkinson, and android application designed to monitor the neurological state of patients with neurodegenerative disorders.
I will use the funds to acquire a proper work station to train deep learning models for speech processing application in health-care, which will be open source, and to keep pushing the science boundaries developing open source software for health-care applications in different scenarios
