Who are you, and where are you from?
I am a researcher in Digital Engineering and enjoy modelling complex systems. I live in the South West of England.
What are you working on?
I am currently researching agent-based Additive Manufacturing systems and digital design tools. These have resulted in a number of packages and tools that we have used in our research projects and I would like to open them up so others can use and enjoy.
Why is their sponsorship important? How will you use the funds?
Our research projects are fixed funded and these leaves many of our great tools stuck in the ether. We try to maintain them as best we can but have to prioritise our new research projects. I want to get these tools out there so everyone can enjoy them. By funding these projects, I will be able to dedicate more time to developing and maintaining these tools, and help me in bridging the gap between our fundamental research and deployable industry-ready tools.
