Hello, I'm Jairus.
I'm pleasantly surprised you've found this page. Since you're here, I'd like to take a moment to share a bit about myself.
When I was nine years old, I came across a book at my local library—an unusual choice for someone who typically read authors like Rick Riordan, J.K. Rowling, and The Hardy Boys. What seemed like a rather mundane book at first turned out to be transformative: it introduced me to the world of programming.
That book taught me how to code.
From elementary school through high school, I immersed myself in learning, often relying on the guidance, mentorship, and support of fellow developers. I spent countless late nights and early mornings debugging, building, and creating--turning ideas into code between classes and extracurriculars.
As I grew in experience, I began contributing back to the community by developing open-source libraries for the AssemblyScript language. To my surprise, these projects started gaining traction, even drawing the interest of a few startups.
Today, I work at Hypermode AI--one of many startups that actively use the libraries I’ve developed. Outside of work, I remain deeply committed to the open-source ecosystem and continue to contribute whenever and however I can.
