InChI is a structure-based chemical identifier, maintained by IUPAC and the InChI Trust. As a standard identifier for chemical databases, InChI is essential for enabling effective information management across chemistry.
We are transitioning the project to open-source development, and our priorities are:
[ ] Making the code easier to maintain
[ ] Extending the core application to handle a wider set of structures (organometallics, tautomers, extended stereochemistry, to match V3000 molfile coverage
[ ] Extending the applications of InChI, especially to reactions (the RInChI) and mixtures (the MInChI)
Donated funds will be used to support these key maintenance and development projects, and be administered via the InChI Trust, a UK-based charity
