GitHub Sponsors Profile
I am project lead for the Eclipse Paho project https://www.eclipse.org/paho/.
I am author and maintainer of the Paho MQTT C client library (https://github.com/eclipse/paho.mqtt.c), Embedded MQTT C client library (https://github.com/eclipse/paho.mqtt.embedded-c/), and Paho Test Material (https://github.com/eclipse/paho.mqtt.testing/). I am co-maintainer of the Embedded MQTT-SN C client library (https://github.com/eclipse/paho.mqtt-sn.embedded-c/)
I also make contributions to the Paho Java client library (https://github.com/eclipse/paho.mqtt.java/) and Paho Python client library (https://github.com/eclipse/paho.mqtt.python/) from time to time, such as support for MQTT 5.0 recently.
I participated in the standardization of MQTT 5.0 as secretary of the Technical Committee, and am now chair of the MQTT-SN sub-committee (https://www.oasis-open.org/committees/tc_home.php?wg_abbrev=mqtt-sn). We plan to pursue the standardization of MQTT-SN so that it too can benefit from being a formal standard. (MQTT-SN is a variant of the MQTT protocol intended for non-TCP transports such as UDP, Bluetooth and ZigBee).
I am now not employed to work on Paho. I have spent a significant amout of time since 2011 working on the Paho components, so if you use or depend on Paho and would like to see me continue supporting the project, consider sponsoring me. Thanks.
